birthdays.....where dreams come true

Friday, February 1, 2013

One of the best things about kids birthday's is being able to put a big smile on their faces. I know when my kids birthday's come around, all I want to do is fulfil their requests and make their day memorable.

This colourful hotel birthday bonanza is all about making one little girl happy with an awesome experience that came at her request. Rubyellen over at CAKIES made all of her daughter True's 6th birthday wishes come true. It's a birthday I'm sure she will never forget. All she needed was a suitcase, a night in a hotel, some cake, streamers and her family around her. I love that it wasn't about some big birthday bash and lots of presents, it was about enjoying time as a family doing something while celebrating the birthday girl.

And how cool is that hotel? I want to go to Palm Springs!

diy celebration garland

Handmade is always the best isn't it?

I love this idea from Handmade Charlotte of a diy garland to decorate for a special someone's birthday. All you need is some string/ribbon, cello bags and an assortment of special bits and pieces that best represent the person you'll be celebrating!

a book themed baby shower

Thursday, January 31, 2013

A lovely little baby shower from one of my favourite bloggers, Brooke at inchmark. This is a book themed baby shower her friends wanted to put on to celebrate the arrival of her new baby. I love the idea of the book theme. The baby is Brooke's fourth, and she is already well equipped for a new baby, so the gift of books is perfect. I love how the theme is a simple backdrop to the party setting and food. The book pages on the table instead of a table cloth is subtle but works beautifully. The party favours were bookplates - cute!

a flower themed party

Monday, March 21, 2011

This beautiful little party was created by Brooke at inchmark for her daughter's fourth birthday. All of the parties she creates for her little family are such a fine example of how just some simple crafts and just a few special details can make for a lovely little party. They aren't over the top, and children can get involved in some of the crafts too to help with the party preparation!
